Credit Counseling Requirements 

Please note that one of the items on the document list is a certificate of credit counseling. A credit
counseling course must be taken prior to filing your case by both husband and wife. You can take this
course online at www.acdcas.com. The counseling agency charges a $20.00 fee for the course, which
can be paid with a debit card or by a withdrawal from your bank account. If a married couple registers
together it will only cost a total of $20.00 to take the course versus $20.00 per individual. If you would
rather take the course in person you can contact Consumer Credit Counseling Services at 608-784-8380
to schedule an appointment. Consumer Credit Counseling charges $50.00 for individuals and $100.00
for couples. There are other court-approved agencies that offer the course. Make sure you choose an agency approved for the Western District of Wisconsin. If you have any problems or questions in choosing a course please feel free to contact us.
